Socrative- student response system that empowers teachers to engage their classrooms through a series of educational exercises and games via smartphones, laptops, and tablets. There is an ipad app 
ScreenR -  Instant screencasts: Just click record.  
Instagrok -  innovative search engine that finds age appropriate multimedia materials.
Wordle -  creates word clouds.
 DOES NOT WORK ON IPAD. 
Tagxedo - creates word clouds with images you can select. 
 DOES NOT WORK ON IPAD. 
Glogster -  The glog, short for graphical blog, is an interactive multimedia image. It looks like a poster, but readers can interact with the content.

Educreations - Create and share great video lessons with your iPad or browser
Evernote - Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for notetaking and archiving 

Penzu - is a free online diary and personal journal focused on privacy. Easily keep a secret diary or a private journal of notes and ideas securely on the web.  This has an ipad app 
pen.io - fast way to publish online.  Instantly creates webpages.  
sophia - place for anyone to share what they know. Share your knowledge and make it available to anyone, anywhere, at anytime. There are student and teacher entry points. A great place for flipping a classroom as students take responsibility for their own learning.
tiki toki  - makes interactive and beautiful timelines

Capzles - another timeline maker - This has an ipad app
blabberize - a very easy application that allows you to speak through a picture. Students can manipulate the picture to say what they want it. 
 DOES NOT WORK ON IPAD. 
Reflection -  allows you to WIRELESSLY connect your iPad to your computer and control either.

Class Dojo - online behavior management system.
Kidblog - a secure place for students to blog.  Teacher has access control content.

Text Compactor - For struggling readers.  Take a piece of text and copy and paste it into the compactor.  The student can adjust the reading level so they can understand the content.  
Cruxbot - Similar to Text compactor without the cut and paste.  You drag a tab onto your bookmarks and then click on the tab and the website ( or doc or wiki) and then the student can adjust the reading level.  DOES NOT WORK ON IPAD.
No Red Ink - a fun place to practice grammar.  You can set up and manage classes, even giving them grammar homework.
Paperrater - This site will check essays for plagiarism, spelling, grammar, word choice, style,vocabulary level and even give it a grade.  
Citation Maker - This site creates citations in a variety of formats for research papers.
Learnzillion - Great resource for lessons curation
Edpuzzle - Allows teachers to edit, crop and add questions to videos that students will view.
Kahoot - Game-based check for understanding too.  There are THOUSANDS of already created kahoots.
